This means that 10Mbps devices can be connected today and upgraded to 100Mbps devices later. The switching fabric simply scales up or down automatically to match specific network environments. It supports up to 2000 MAC addresses, enabling these products to support extremely sophisticated and complex network architectures. Allowing you to take advantage of the inherent advantages of fiber based infrastructure. Compared to copper based systems, fiber provides increased noise immunity and longer cable lengths. The 102MC has extended operating environmental specifications to meet the harsh needs of the industrial environment. For cost savings and convenience the media converter can be 35mm DIN-Rail mounted alongside Ethernet I/O or other industrial equipment.
