I was looking for something smaller than the standard sized selfie stick that and this fit that requirement. The collapsed form factor is small enough to not extend too far off of my belt pouch, unlike the official one. And when fully extended, although it's slightly shorter than the official version, 27 inches seems to be a reasonable length. I'm so glad I purchased this and I do recommend it to everyone
