I love this rug. I wanted a herringbone jute rug with fringe and this rug is exactly that. Safavieh makes a wide variety of high-quality, gorgeous rugs that don't cost insane amounts. This rug, being jute, isn't soft or plush, but I can say it's not scratchy or pokey, and I walk on it with bare feet all the time. I only wish I had ordered one size up, but that's my fault, not the rug's.In terms of cleaning, the rug's incredibly easy to vacuum. As far as stain cleaning goes, it's harder. Any stains will soak into the jute fibers almost immediately and scrubbing is bad for the rug, as the friction will pull out the fibers and mess them up. Luckily, the pattern and color of this particular rug is very forgiving, so stains don't show that easily. Unless of course you spill a glass of red wine - but you're kind of screwed if you do that on any rug.In regards to the photos I posted, the rug looks more yellow in pictures because of the interior lighting. The reflection of color in the closeup photo is a very accurate portrayal of the real color.
