This was my first time purchasing a jute rug. It does have a natural fiber smell at first but dissipates quickly. It is in a high traffic hallway and has held up well. I have been especially happy compared to the synthetic rugs I had previously which became impossible to keep clean quickly. One of my favorite features was the wide range of sizes available. I was able to get one rug long enough for my entire 14’ hallway rather than piecing smaller ones together. It makes the whole space look bigger.
