Like some of the other reviewers, I am very happy with this desk. It looks great and is sturdy. The instructions and parts were labelled nicely so it wasn't too hard to follow, I was able to put it together myself. I did need to rescrew in the back piece when I realized the drawers were on the other side, slightly annoying to redo but not a huge deal. The pictured holes on the instructions can be a bit confusing to work out, but not too bad.I did experience the same issue as another reviewer where the pre-drilled holes to attach the drawers to the desk structure were not even close to being aligned. This is why I deducted a star. I ended up needing to create my own holes that lined up.I would still recommend this desk to anyone but would agree with others, read through the instructions before, lay out all the pieces, and have some additional tools on hand as this will only help during the assembly process. So, I needed a desk that was:1. 47 in wide, no more or it wouldn't fit my space2. had a keyboard tray3. would be delivered in a week or 10 days max from ordering4. was sturdy enough to hold a 34 curved monitor5. was no more than $200This desk fit all my requirements. And bonus, it was white so it matched the rest of my furniture.Assembly time: 2 hours from start to finish. This included help with some parts of assembly.Assembly: all the pieces were clearly marked and in perfect shape when they arrived. The small bits, like screws and nails were separated and clearly labeled as well. Bonus points for including a screwdriver. I ended up using an electric drill after a while because I started to get blisters and it was starting to be too time consuming.Be prepared that you will need a second person/adult to help with assembly of certain parts of the desk; namely the drawers. The instructions were clear enough. I highly recommend, as does the manual, to read it before putting anything together. The keyboard tray assembly was tricky and the pictures in the manual were not clear enough, imo so it took us a bit to figure out.Pros : it's definitely sturdy enough to hold my monitor ( I have a 34 in curved monitor for reference) and it doesn't feel small or crowded.Cons:While everything comes pre-drilled, some parts did not align properly so we had to finagle them into place. In particular, I'm referring to the keyboard tray. The small screws to attach the tray to the desk, need to be flush so they don't rub against the rolling mechanism. Otherwise, as you push in, the screw will tear from the tray. We ended up changing to longer screws and that did the trick. The drawers aren't too deep so don't expect them to hold much--maybe some notebooks or notepads. They also tend to slide down. For ex. if I open the bottom drawer, the top falls down a bit so when I close the lower drawer, I have to lift the top one to get the bottom into place. It's not a deal breaker and I could probably go back and fix it so this doesn't happen.Neither pro/con:This desk is heavy. It slides easily if it's on a rug but I highly recommend assembling it where you plan to have it. It will be too heavy for just one person to move on their own.The top of the desk is glass, we knew this going in. Keep in mind that glass will get smudges so you'll be doing a lot of wiping. Or, get a desk pad to help with that.Overall, I'm pleased with this desk. It's early days still but I like the look of it and it works well in the space.I made a mistake of assembly my drawers on the left, and keyboard tray on the right. Didn't realize I did it wrong until I noticed in the picture that the drawers are on the right, BUT I'm perfectly fine with it. In case you want your drawers on the left instead of the right, now you know it's possible! I think the manual said that it will take about an hour to assemble, but I think it took me a couple of hours. Everyone goes at their own pace so honestly you might just be done in an hour. It's good if you have someone help you out because it will help speed up the process and that way you can be more careful when handling like the glass top which I love. My only complaint is that I noticed a piece of glass is missing/broken, it's very small so not a big deal, but of course I wish it wasn't broken on that end. This desk seems very sturdy, and the modern look to it is beautiful. Not a fan of wooden desks anymore so this was the one for me. I'm a bit of a picky buyer so I went through countless of desks until I decided to go with this one.I use this desk for working at home. Perfect in everywaySimply beautiful and elegant just like I wanted it! Putting it up was a little difficult but minors adjustment and it was all good! I love ❤️ love ❤️ love ❤️ it! Frfr IJS RealtalkHelene!Assembly took around 3hrs as the pre-drilled holes were not aligned to the metal frame and so we had to drill our own hole. The back metal frame also had to go bent to align. Otherwise good size and nice glass top. This is a great sturdy desk. The desk took about four hours to put together. The instructions were easy to read and included detailed pictures. Every part was labeled which was awesome so there was no doubt if you were using the correct part. The desk also came with extra screws, bolts, and nuts. The desk was packed very well with plenty of styrofoam. I would definitely recommend the Christopher Knight Home Reeve Tempered Glass Computer Desk. This desk took a long time to put together. The instructions were poor and there were little things you had to continue to work on to get just right (i.e. the drawers), but I love it! It had everything I wanted keyboard, drawers and modern look. This is hard to come by, but might want to hire someone to put it together.
