This is a beautiful rug and exactly what I was looking for to complete my foyer. It feels like pretty heavy duty quality with no fraying of the fibers. It had some minor curling around the edges, which disappeared soon after unpacking. It doesn't have a non-slip backing, but I found that it does not shift much at all on my hardwood floor. I've gotten lots of compliments about it already. My only concern is keeping it clean. You can spot clean a jute rug, but I've decided to slip a thin boot mat underneath to pull out in the event of guests coming in from inclement weather. As you can see in my picture, you can't even tell it's there. For reference, I purchased the 4' x 4' size.
