These should come as stock on the bike. The stamped aluminum heel guards which come as stock on the 1199, and I assume the 899 as well, have sharp edges. They really are horrible. They cut up my leather boots nearly through to the heel guard and often catch on my boots when I change foot position. These are better, nice curved edges and of course save crucial grams. They are still a bit flexible for my tastes but miles better than stock. Helpful hint, make sure to use blue thread lock on the screws when you install these.
