18 Inch Clear Glass Star Pendant Light - Modern Hanging Ceiling Fixture for Bedroom, Living Room, Nursery Decor

I needed something that was eye catching and took a chance on this star. It is the 12 inch star in pewter finish. It is truly well worth the money.It comes with a brown cord which I knew would not work for us. Changing the cord to a silver less noticeable cord was simple., we also put a dimmer on the wire. The lamp comes with a 60 watt bulb. For our purpose it was too bright and cast shadows we did not need in the space ( the shadows would have been beautiful in another location). We purchased a soft gold tone bulb. This is everything we hoped for. The changes we made for ourselves were known and were very simpleThis light is absolutely beautiful. It is substantial and seems very well constructed. I love the way the top easily tips to the side to change the bulb. You cannot see the hinge it at all when it is closed. We are using it with a vintage bulb and everyone who sees it remarks on how wonderful it looks. The first one we ordered had a small crack in one piece of glass. The company quickly accepted the return and also offered a big discount if we chose to keep this one. We ended up going with a new one and got our refund right away.I like the style and concept, but the clear glass is really dirty, as if it has glue or something sticky on it. It shows up a lot when the light is on. We took it down to clean it and realized it is more than finger smudges and little pieces of the shipping Styrofoam that got stuck in the crevices . There is almost a sticky film on it that is impossible to get off. When the light is up and on, it looks filthy. Get the pebbled glass. I wish I could exchange it but it cost more to ship back than the light itself.This is STUNNING!!! I love it so much! It looks beautiful over my bathtub! I tried to keep my new bathroom neutral and timeless but I did go a little out of the box with this light. It adds just the right amount of fancy! I did have it hard wired in and used a mounting plate and chain to hang it secure. The price was great!! Shipping was good as it came undamaged. (came in a large box of packing peanuts)Absolutely beautiful. My sister bought this for my porch because I have always wanted one. However it came slightly damaged with a crack down one of the panes of glass.I do wishes they would've been more clear about the fact that you cannot hardwire this item to your ceiling because it has a wall plug. If you do it is not up to code and therefore dangerous and forfeits your insurance claim. But it is beautiful and I purchased separate relatively cheap pendant light replacements to make it work.Beautifully crafted. Shipped super fast. Only thing is a true Moravian star has the 3 side triangles sticking out.Love the light it produces but it does not come with the chain and accessories which adds a bit of $$.
