The positives are evident in this standing screen:-it is lightweight-attractive-easily posable-ample width-two sided hinges allowing for flexible positions-evidently handwoven, offering rich texture and definitionI recognize some of the negative points of other reviewers, and would like to address them:-yes, it is lightweight but this doesn't relate to the price point-agreed, some of the weave is wide allowing for some viewing of items on the other side of the screen. The item is clearly pictured, and the open weave elements are quite obvious.-this screen doesn't offer the height of 5 and 6 ft. screens, but it is listed as a 4 foot screen.-some weaving is a bit loose, but this is a handmade item and not every knot can be uniform. This can be addressed by trimming a loose end, or weaving open ends into the pattern. The entire screen had no more than 3 to 4 strands that were loose and could have been rewoven.In total, we are quite pleased with this screen. It offers some privacy, while offering a pleasant look in the room. We are using it to block the full view of a sliding door that is not often used for outside access. The height will allow for ample light while providing some privacy. Agreed, it can be viewed as a bit expensive, but it is a very nice screen and offers a change from the traditional paper standing screen that provides total blocking of the opposite side of the screen. For what it is, we are quite pleased with this screen.
