I bought a Sunsetter awning a couple of years ago, but it has a problem. The side shades that attach to it are terrible. They’re heavy, funky, and look awful. The awning itself is beautiful, but you can’t hang anything from the sides of it because they’re electric arms that support the material in the awning. I returned the side shades and have searched and searched Amazon for a 7’ folding divider that was simple, i.e., nothing ornate… just a straight top and bottom. This divider was the answer! If I get outside earlier in the morning, when the sun is shining in to where I sit, I put it on that side. If I’m outside in the afternoon before the sun goes behind the house next door, I put it there. It works perfectly for what I wanted and, if I ever need it to create some privacy for an extra guest sleeping on the sofa, this will work beautifully.The only caveat about using it outside is that it needs to be supported if there’s wind. I handled that by putting an unused small end table and a couple of patio chairs (I have 8 chairs).. But that’s a small issue compared to being able to sit outside in the afternoon without the sun beating in from the side!
